As you can see from this video, the point of this training is transmission of power from the lower body to the upper body and to use the whole body. From my experience, I found that the ball doesn’t go straight if I throw it at bad timing. To throw medicine ball straight, you need to be aware of not only the whole body but the timing you throw it. Moreover, I think which angle you throw at is important. My best angle is a little bigger than level. Everyone has their own best angle, so you should figure out it. It must have a positive effect on your batting.
Finally, you have to bear in mind that you do this training both on left and right side so that the amount of muscle will not be unbalanced.
